About 2 weeks ago, I was having a discussion with a friend. We were talking about how intelligent a colleague of ours is. I don’t know, but maybe out of jealousy and annoyance, I asked myself out loud, Is God partial? Why does it seem like the person had it all together? Why did God create him so smart. Honestly, I didn’t know I had said that out loud. My friend looked at me and smiled. She gave me answers which I think I should share with everyone who may or may be asking the same question I did that day.
She said,
“God is not partial, He is God and He loves us all equally so there’s no reason for Him to be partial. God has given each and everyone of us our strengths and weaknesses so we can complement each other. So whatever A is lacking, B has and whatever B lacks, A has. Now imagine a world where every single person has the same amount of abilities in all ramifications. There will probably be no Nobel prize because no one will see anyone’s success as something worth celebrating because since “we are on the same level, there’s nothing A can do that B can not do”. Hence success will never be celebrated and we won’t even see the greatness of God in our lives. In such a world, no one, and not even God gets credit for anything. Now the colleague of ours whom we think has it all definitely has something he’s weak at, of which is somebody’s strength. God has given us different strengths so we can appreciate his greatness in our lives. It is left for us to find these strengths and see how to use it to influence the world around us, and maybe to win a Nobel prize”.😏
Do have a wonderful week ahead.
