One of the songs that has thoroughly blessed me this season is ‘Way Maker’ by Sinach. A particular line in a cover goes like this ‘even when I don’t see it You’re working, even when I don’t feel it You’re working, You never stop, you never stop working.’

The song has been a real blessing, confirming the goodness of God. God is good in all situations. I mean, all situations because that is His person, He is good!

In a bid to unwind and let go of some stress, I went on YouTube and clicked on a Nigerian movie, more like series -about 8 episodes. For whatever reason, I wanted to see how it was going to end (it wasn’t that interesting). Let me give you the gist.

The mother-in-law (MIL) hated the daughter-in-law (DIL) and her son was a cheat, but he ‘loved’ his wife (I have never been able to understand this mentality). The MIL did everything to try to drive the DIL out of the house. She went as far as sending men to seduce her DIL with the hopes of collating pictures that would defame her character. However, her plans failed repeatedly.

On a particular occasion, the man was playing the part of an important businessman who was interested in the DIL’s company and insisted on having the meeting at a hotel.

The man got there ahead of time and was chilling. He employed the help of his friend to play the role of his personal assistant. DIL arrived and was speaking to the ‘businessman’ when the ‘PA’ interrupted the meeting and signaled the ‘businessman’ to leave. The PA later told his friend that the lady was actually a good woman and shouldn’t be set up in that manner. That’s how she was saved from disgrace and interestingly, she might have thought she just lost a good business deal.

But that’s the point, resting in the love of God reassures you that no matter what happens, you win! Even if we don’t see it or understand it, we always win through God.

She won that day without even raising a sling.

Rest in the Lord always. He is good!

Happy Sunday everyone!!!!

Recently, I had a boil on my right eye! My eye! I have never had a boil in my life, maybe once if at all, so you must understand the uncomfortable situation and the perfect location for it was my eye! Well, I had to endure the pain. It gave me terrible headaches plus my eyes were watery. It was just terrible and uncomfortable. I just wanted it to go.

This is my point, when my eyes were without the boil, when I had no pus coming out of my eyes, how many times did I thank God for normal set of eyes? Thing is, we overlook the little things of life and await gigantic miracles so we can go about shouting ‘my God is real’ or whatever. Don’t get me wrong, be grateful always but don’t just be grateful for the large things, be grateful for the little thing as well. Be grateful for waking up, be grateful that you can see, be grateful that you can hear, be grateful you can walk, be grateful. And the thanks is still never enough.

Don’t wait to be in pains like I was in before you remember to be grateful for what you have. Be grateful for what you have. It is the same God that heals cancer that gives a perfect set of eyes lol. God is the same and we must be grateful. So don’t wait till you lose it before you are grateful. It is often said that people don’t cherish what they have until they lose it. Let that not be our story.

Now, not just being grateful to God but also being appreciative of those around us. Be grateful for the people around you.

Have a blessed week.

Hello Lovelies!!!!

So yesterday I posted the first half of the article. Please make sure to check that out before continuing with this one. I hope it is really helpful

5. “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.” – Lamentations 3:2223 NLT

I just thought I should let you know that the Lord remains faithful through our unfaithfulness. His love for you never ceases and His mercies upon your life are new every morning.

6. “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” – Philippians 1:6 NLT

These last few bible verses have been doing more of the lifting for me.

God has had your success in mind from the first day you were dropped off at school, and is the same God today. The same one that saw you through your first degree (if you have more than one that is even juicier) is the same God here.

This same God has watched and kept you as you morphed into the handsome looking man/beautifully made woman you are now. This God isn’t done with you yet.

His word says the God that started the work within you will continue it. You must believe that He is still working with you, through you and on you. You must let Him be the pillar of your life and work His wonders.

You need to tell yourself you are God’s plan. God’s plan never fails.

7. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the LORD and refuse to do wrong.” – Proverbs 3:57 GNBDK

You see the question I asked as to under whose authority are you writing this exam was prompted by our usual human actions. Every time we say, ‘I, I, I’. Do you leave room for God in this mix?

I do not know if you have noticed but God is right there with you waiting for you to let Him be your God. The question is how long are you willing to hang on to this connection? This is Him telling you “Here I am son/daughter”. But naa you are blinded by your human insufficiency. You are too occupied trying to make yourself feel prepared. You forget that our sufficiency is only in our maker.

You forget what the Big God is capable of doing. You are relying on what you know. You let your worldly eye blind your spiritual eye.

From experience we learn. Today you need to count your blessings. This is another proof that He has not abandoned you. He is right there even though you did not really notice.

Take this forward with you. With every decision you make. The big ones, the little ones. Let Him guide you. Your biggest mistake will be to keep relying on your limited capacity when the omniknowest is at your door step knocking. Let Him in!

8. “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT

I just want you to know that before you enter your exam hall every single day, He has gone ahead of you. He knows it all. He knows how you are feeling right now. He sees everything including the pointless things.

The important part of this verse is He will not fail you or abandon you. You being sad and worried, that’s acting like He has abandoned you. If you were in doubt, here’s His word telling you He has got you 100%.

You need to ditch that fear. Right now, as you read this, look at yourself in the mirror and command any atom of fear trying to build a mansion within you to vacate. Give it Notice to Quit and Notice of Owner’s intention to recover possession. Worry not, in this instance you are allowed to give the notices the same day and it takes effect from today. You are in control! You dominate your space!

9. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10 NLT

It appears that the Bible verses coming for me recently are targeted at your fear of failure.

This wonderful God we serve is at your doorstep today reminding you again that He is with you.

The part that has got me is ‘don’t be discouraged for I am your God’. Do you understand the magnitude of this statement?

See it does not matter that you got it wrong, don’t be discouraged cause you got a God. It does matter that you do not even know the answer, you got a God.

Not just any small g god but the big G God. The beginning and the end! The Just God! You think God who is the law will let His own fail a law exam?

He said He will hold you up with His victorious right hand. Victory is certain for God’s own. The beautiful thing is we are all unworthy yet He counts us worthy.

I really do not know how you are still feeling. I don’t know if you have had time to read these verses yourself. But what I know is victory is guaranteed. The question is do you believe it? Are you acting on it? Is your heart shifting direction? Or you letting thoughts hold you down?

You need to know that these thoughts are the devil’s way of making you accept failure. You need to accept the concept for him to manifest it. Do not give such a power over your life.

Lastly, I need you to remember that David wasn’t the most qualified but God chose him anyway by-passing all his macho brothers. Do not let any of these weigh on your prospects and confidence. You will do just fine in the real life!

I hope this really helps someone out there. All of these could end up being just words if you refuse to internalise it. Please I plead with you, take your time to meditate and make a decision today to walk a path of faith. If you ever feel lost, please reach out to me and I would be very happy to remind you how much God has got you 100%.

Thank you for reading this and Stay Blessed!

During my bar finals, I had a friend that I had to be spiritually strong for and in the process I came up with these brief write-ups that I fed him constantly. It just dawned on me that I could compile it and share it with other people. You do not have to wait till bar finals to start guiding and guarding your faith. I personally believe that bar finals is not an exam to be done more than once. The mental stress is beyond comprehension. Sometimes, you see the questions and you end up extremely confused. The thing is for those that know our God, now is the best time to hold onto Him and let Him lead you. If there was something I said repeatedly throughout law school, it was “I would not take these exams more than once!” I did not care how tough they made it seem. I prepared my mind to do it just once and so can you love. I hope that the little write-up below will assist you from now in channelling your faith. Do not let the devil penetrate your thoughts and fill it with the fear of failure. It is not going to work.

“Now I want to do something different with you. I want to guide and guard your faith through this exam. I have been asking God for different ways to show you all hope isn’t lost and I might have found a way.

I have one determining factor though. It is a question and I want a sincere answer.

Under whose authority do you intend to write this exam? Yours or His?”

I would like to begin with a prayer:

“So I may not know you personally period but my words will go with you. I pray for wisdom which is the principal thing. I pray that no question will be too hard for you. I pray for understanding. It takes understanding to deliver the right answers. You won’t be found lacking in Jesus name.

Jesus never failed and so it is not your portion to fail. I soak you in the divine anointing of the Lord that His grace may speak for you. I invite the Holy Spirit to dominate your thought process, to teach you and to guide you.

At the end, you will realise that this was too small a storm for God to conquer. This isn’t even your Goliath.

I pray for His divine mercy upon your life and I pray that the joy of the Lord will be your strength. You shall not be weak for He will give you strength.

He said on the cross “it is finished” so are these exams finished in your favour in Jesus name.

In the name that is higher above every other name, I declare that success is indeed your portion. My personal prayer point is that the Lord surpasses your expectation.”

1. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13

This is the first Bible verse. From the beginning of this process, upon seeing the stress and how people deliberately complicate things, you have probably started doubting yourself. I am here to remind you that ‘you got this!’ The truth is there is nothing impossible under the sky when you have Him. You are sitting down there, being your own Judge and future marking scheme forgetting that you serve a God that has a pen. A God that walks in miracles! A God that used words to create the world! Do you think you passing this exam is too hard a thing for Him to do?

How about rather than thinking and shaking your head, you start proclaiming that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you which includes passing these exams once and for all? How about you ditch your physical eyes and start inviting God to do what He does best? How about you lift that worry into Thanksgiving? You have done your little. You fault yourself. It is alright. No one is perfect but how about you let God the multiplier multiply your effort? You need to believe it. You need to have faith that it is not over. If you act like it is, then you are giving room for it to be truly over.

That’s not possible. Don’t try to explain the extent of your ‘fuck up” or potential “fuck up”. Rather cast all of that on Him. Believe Him. Draw closer to Him. Speak to Him. Watch Him take you through this.

2. “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” – Jeremiah 29:11

This for a long time was my favourite Bible verse. It gives the authority to dream and make plans for your future because God will bring about the future you hope for. It is guaranteed! His word is yes and amen.

The question is what have you said concerning your future? What are you seeing concerning your future? Have you tagged yourself a failure when men cannot tag you that?

How about every time, the end of the tunnel looks dark in relation to this exam, you paint a new image? Do you think God’s plans for you involves failing this exam? It cannot be. He never failed. You are made in His image. Consequently, you cannot fail as well.

You are going to buy your wig and gown because you are hoping for your future. All you need is a little faith. You need to take a step of faith out of these thoughts. You need to stop listening to it and start speaking to the future you want.

Speak it and believe it.

If you need this miracle from God, let Him know how bad you need it.

3. “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6 KJV

Ever heard the song ‘prayer is the key’? How many times have you prayed during this period for the success in your forthcoming exams? Not simple utterances but actually speaking to your problems?

I once heard a saying that ‘the distance between a person and his problems is the distance between his knees to the floor praying to God’ and I believe it.

You cannot rewrite your papers once you eventually write them but you can pray to God to guard your hands when writing them and to correct your errors. You can seek favour in the eyes of your maker.

How about you get down on your knees today and have a brief chat with Yahweh. Submit to Him. You said you are going to write these exams under His authority, then you need to start acting as such.

Most importantly keep thanking Him in advance for what He has already done with your result. He shall surpass your expectation.

4. “My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.” – Psalms 73:26 KJV

Need I say more or this says it all? Part of the characteristics of being mortal is we are bound to fail on our own. I mean see how many times we disappoint people in our lives.

Our sufficiency is in His sufficiency. So your hands fail you? Your memory has not been on it’s A game? That’s all flesh failing. But you got someone who does not fail. He did not fail in His mission to redeem the world.

See that God that counted you worthy to have His son give up His life for you is right here. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. That very God that drew water from stone is your portion. He alone is your strength!

Do you really think when God is your strength, failure is in the cards?

I am going to stop here for today. I will put up part 2 tomorrow. I am also considering making an audio recording so you can listen to the message wherever you are. I hope this really speaks to someone out there who is doubting the whole process. You will be just fine.

Thank you for reading this and Stay Blessed!

Queen Natalia

So last week, y’all read from Queen Natalia about distractions at church. Like she said, we attend two churches, one in the estate we live in and our family church. Trust me, the distraction at the family church is way more! Likeee nooo, can y’all just let me listen to the word of God?

It starts from the entrance. So the Reverend Father is entering and we are all trying to sing the hymn and just prepare ourselves to hear from God, then I look sideways and see someone struggling to walk, like fam if you can’t wear heels, why wear them? Sometimes, I silently pray that she falls. I’m not mean! That’s one distraction because I am basically following her legs till she gets to the altar.
Okay, I bring myself back and focus. Time to read from the bible and the lector is just up there murdering the words and inside of me is screaming for him to stop and instead of listening because I cant, I am just wondering.
We move through the readings, and we are seated for the homily and then here

comes the early ones, the ones that are most punctual, the early birds. Nno! I know emergencies can come up but every Sunday? It’s like some people have emergencies every Sunday. Oya sharply enter na, they are taking their time! No, this can’t be legal! Lol. And I am just there following every single one them till they sit down.

Then the children! Some never keep quiet! They are crying without stopping to breathe in. How do they do it? Poor me, I am looking from mother to child, like would one of you do something.

At the end of church, I come out claiming I went to church. But throughout, I wasn’t even minding my business but how can I? Tell me.
I now have to make a conscious effort to remain focused in church. Working so far! Please remain focused in church lol. Have a blessed week fam,
